Coffee and Love Digi Stamp from Graciellie Design

Hello there,

I am the lucky winner of the Graciellie Design and Coffee Loving Cardmakers Collaboration Hop

I used my $10 Gift card towards my purchase at Greciellie Design.  Their digi stamps are really beautiful, among the Coffee and Love set,  I also got the Blessed Duo and Sending Kindness digital stamp set and I went to play right away!

First up I created a semi shape card using the Coffee and Love set.

In the image editor I place the cup, and then another (but flipped horizontally) back to back and printed.  Like so.

I flipped the paper and feed it into the printer so that the sentiment would be printed on the inside of the card.  I trimmed and scored down the middle so my card would have images on the front as well as the back.  .

I've also gold heat embossed the heart shape leaf, and used some enamel accent in the flower center.

My second card I used the Blessed Duo Stamp set.

I simply resized and printed the image and sentiment on white card stock, colored (in pencils) and added a Hero Arts Paper Layering Hummingbird (printed in Twinkling H2O watercolors).

For the last card, I used the Sending Kindness set.

I resized both Pear Blossom and Bee and printed on card stock.  Colored in pencil, then I clear embossed the blossom and bee so that I could add a blue wash for the background without risking washing out the colorings.  The sentiment is stamped in Tumbled Glass and clear heat embossed.

Hero Arts Mermaid Kisses Birthday on a2z

Welcome back!!

This is my second post of the day, to see my Die Cut Divas' GD post, click here.

It is my turn to post on a2z Scrapbooking Supplies today.  I created a couple cards using a new stamp set and matching frame cut by Hero Arts from the 2018 Hero Arts Catalog.

I used the same stencil but differently on the two backgrounds.  One I add colors in the negative space, the other I take away the colors.  It was really fun to experiment and I like how they turned out. You can hop over here to see the details.

Silver Anniversary on DCD

I am guest designing for Die Cut Divas' today.  Their February's challenge theme:  Love is in the air ... love, marriage, anniversary.

For my card I start off with Hero Arts Love Swirls Stencil.  I placed the Love Swirls Stencil on white card stock and press clear embossing ink all over.  Then the stencil is lifted and it is silver heat embossed.

I see my stencil still covered with the clear embossing ink and I wasn't going to waste it so I place a piece of white card stock over and press down so the ink would transfer.  And then I silver heat embossed it too.

Hmmm which piece to use?!  I've used the positive image a few times already so I chose the second one as the background of my card.

So what do you think?  I know the embossing is not crisp but I don't mind.  25 years of marriage, they just seems to represent the tiny wrinkles of our lives, which makes it real.

Hero Arts Words Of Love Duel on a2z

Hi everybody,

I am taking part in a duel today, a digital stamp duel on a2z Scrapbooking Supplies that is!!  :)

The featured digital stamp of the month on a2z is Words of Love.  My teammate Arlene and I each created a project using the same set.  Hop over to take a look of her project Here.

For my card, I first change the colour of the heart shape candies from black to grey, then I copy, rotate and paste multiple times on a white background.  Then I added the sentiment in black.  I printed it out, coloured the candies with coloring pencils.  To make the sentiment stand out, I darken the "with" using black marker, and cover the "Love" with black gel pen, so it has a bit of texture and shine.

Then I trimmed the panel and adhere to a dark pink panel with die cut border and then onto pink card base.
